For many years despite my eagerness to be able to help people going through cancer, due to my lack of training in this area as a true professional skin care provider I had to turn away many clients with compromised skin due to cancer.
Such treatments ravage the skin with oncology drugs, making it dry, sensitive, burnt, tender, raw, tingly, cold, sallow and dull.
As a result of cancer treatments, the skin really needs knowledgeable care and attention that won’t harm an already compromised and struggling system.
Today, I am super excited to let you know that I might be one of the first Estheticians in Kitchener-Waterloo to hold a certification from Oncology Spa Solutions facilitated by True U Education in Chicago, IL and I will now finally be able to safely help and treat individuals suffering with compromised skin.
My training and certification has prepared me to understand the impacts of certain medications on the skin and to first do no harm. As you will always hear me say, "my all skin care is skin ‘care’ and this is particularly approach is vital for individuals going through cancer treatments. I am here to care for, nurture and support you in a safe, clean and restoring environment.
